Rohit Sharma made headlines with his fresh and noticeably lean appearance at the annual CEAT Cricket Rating Awards, marking his first public outing since being named in India’s squad for the upcoming tour of Australia.
The 38-year-old, who recently led India to back-to-back ICC titles, the 2024 T20 World Cup and the 2025 Champions Trophy was honoured with a special recognition award at the event. Fans were quick to notice his sharp, fit transformation, but Rohit looked focused, with his sights firmly set on India’s upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia, starting October 19.

On the Australia series, Rohit expressed both respect and excitement:
“I love playing against them. I love going to Australia. It’s always a tough place to play, but the people there love the game too.
“Australia brings something different every time. Having been there several times now, I know what to expect. Hopefully, we can go there, do what’s expected of Team India, and bring the result home.”

Despite recently handing over the ODI captaincy to Shubman Gill, Rohit's attitude and presence made one thing clear: he's far from finished. His commitment to staying in top shape was evident on Tuesday night; he looked match-ready and mentally locked in for the challenge ahead.
